This past week in Highpoint! (1st-5th grade)

Hi!
This past Sunday in HighPoint! your kids discovered that when we make good everyday choices, we make ourselves available for God to change our good choices into extraordinary choices.
Our Bible story was “Daniel’s Great Escape” (Daniel 6:19-28). Daniel made a good choice to pray to God in spite of persecution. God transformed Daniel’s ordinary choice into an extraordinary choice by miraculously protecting Daniel from hungry lions. Just as God transformed Daniel’s ordinary choice, He can also use our ordinary choices to create extraordinary results.
Mr. Steve showed us how our choices are influenced by people we choose to spend time with by using a watercolors object lesson. We also made our own set of “Bones,” an ancient Irish musical rhythm instrument.
Sunday was our last visit to Ireland. Our next destination will be Jamaica where we will learn about “Joy.”
