Here is an abbreviated list of events going on in the near future.

Elevate:  Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm

For all middle and high school students.  Join us as we study the book of Ephesians this semester.  Come for friendship with other students and adults, come for good snacks and games, and most of all come to worship God with students from many schools and backgrounds.  We are having a swimming extravaganza at different locations till the beginning of September.  I will keep you posted.

This Next Wednesday Night!

Wednesday July 28 we are going to be meeting at the Frederech’s home!  We will be swimming, playing games and having a great time.  There will be a good time of worship and diving into God’s word as well.  Bring some friends and have a great time.  The Frederich’s live at 531 Carthage Ct.  in Granite Bay.  The gate code is #2396.

Game Night Saturday August 14

Are you ready for a night of fun and games?  All are invited, so come with all your friends to have some good times!  We are going to be playing games of all sorts.  We will let you know soon where and when this will take place, but be ready to come.

Down By The River! Saturday August 28

Mark your calendars for a trip to the river!  We will be floating down the American River.  So what you need to bring is lots of sun screen, some water, friends, and a flotation device of some sort.  Remember this is a three hour float at least, so bring a flotation device that will get you down the river in both comfort and style!  The person with the best flotation device wins.  I will post the when a where parts soon.

Why “Under Construction” you ask?

As Christians, we are all under construction in one way or another. God is at work in our lives to make us like Jesus, and this is a process that lasts a life time. As a youth group it means we recognize there is work to be done, that we have not arrived, and we are willing to allow God’s work to be done in and through us. The idea comes from Philippians 1:6, which says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” God begins his good work in us upon salvation and continues working on us for the rest of our lives – it’s a process! This is also a place to learn of God’s great love expressed to us in Jesus and His plan for our salvation.

A little bit about the youth guy

Steve Bolin has been the Director of Student Ministries at PBC since July 2010. He graduated from Moody Bible Institute in Chicago Illinois with a B.A. in Bible. Steve’s passion is to build relationship with both High School and Middle School students for the purpose of discipling them to be like Christ. He loves this process and has fun doing it all along the way! Steve loves the people of PBC and looks forward to many years of great relationships and ministry.
