Upcoming Events

Here is an abbreviated list of events going on in the near future. For more information, grab a calendar of events from the church or look at our online calendar here

Elevate:  Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm @ PBC

Join us for Elevate at PBC on Wednesdays for time of relationship with one another, and growing in our knowledge of and love of God.  We are currently studying Romans and will be doing so for around a year.

November 21-25:  UC So-Cal College Tour

If you are a Junior or Senior in High School, you are invited on our first ever So-Cal college tour.  One MINOR bummer is that only 9 spots are available this year, and Seniors have first priority.  If you know you are going, please let Chris know ASAP so he saves you a seat - otherwise it could be gone before you know it!  Grab a brochure from Christ that has more details and the all-important parent waiver

Sunday, December 7th  Community Group, 6-8 pm

CG’s are a great way to connect with other students, have some good food, and talk about Jesus together.  If you would like to host our next CG, email Chris

Why “Under Construction” you ask?

As Christians, we are all under construction in one way or another. God is at work in our lives to make us like Jesus, and this is a process that lasts a life time. As a youth group it means we recognize there is work to be done, that we have not arrived, and we are willing to allow God’s work to be done in and through us. The idea comes from Philippians 1:6, which says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” God begins his good work in us upon salvation and continues working on us for the rest of our lives - it’s a process! This is also a place to learn of God’s great love expressed to us in Jesus and His plan for our salvation.

A little bit about the youth guy

Chris Ritter is the youth pastor at PBC. He graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA with a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology. Chris loves the teenage years of life, knowing that they are important in the development in the whole person becoming an adult. He is passionate about being in relationship with Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers, as well as bringing them together for friendship and encouragement in following Jesus.
