For Students

Upcoming Events
Here is an abbreviated list of events going on in the near future.
Elevate: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm
For all middle and high school students. Join us as we study the book of John this semester. Come for friendship with other students and adults, come for good snacks and games, and most of all come to worship God with students from many schools and backgrounds. We are primarily meeting at the Koch’s home, 5015 Topaz Ave. in Rocklin.
“Thursday at Panera” – Anytime after 3:00 each Thursday
“Thursday @ Panera” is a chance to get together with other students and just hang out… talk about anything big or small, maybe play games and maybe not. It’s your time to get to know each other, and hang for as little or long as you can. We meet at the Panera on Pleasant Grove, near Walmart
Dates for your Calendar:
Sunday, March 21st: Mexico Meeting @ Valley Springs, 12:30-1:30pm
This is our last Mexico meeting before the trip! Turn in all money owed or checks received and come for some last minute information and team building time.
Thursday, March 25th: Bring luggage to Valley Springs @ 7:00pm
Come with bags ready to Valley Springs. Just bring your biggest bag and sleeping gear. Whatever you want to bring on the bus or van (pillow, snacks, books), you can bring with you on Friday
Friday, March 26th: Departure information
4:00pm – all students and leaders need to be at Valley Springs to participate in the “Feed my Starving Children” ministry. We are one of dozens of churches helping this effort and will pack a couple hundred meals each in order to help those in need around the world
6:00pm – We’ll go to the Bastien’s house for dinner (an amazing pasta dish I hear!) and time to hang out before going back to Valley Springs for official departure.
10:45 – depart the Bastien’s home and head to Valley Springs for official departure

Why “Under Construction” you ask?
As Christians, we are all under construction in one way or another. God is at work in our lives to make us like Jesus, and this is a process that lasts a life time. As a youth group it means we recognize there is work to be done, that we have not arrived, and we are willing to allow God’s work to be done in and through us. The idea comes from Philippians 1:6, which says, “For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.” God begins his good work in us upon salvation and continues working on us for the rest of our lives – it’s a process! This is also a place to learn of God’s great love expressed to us in Jesus and His plan for our salvation.
