Responsibilities:

My main responsibilities are working with a team of Elders to oversee the governance and mission of Providence, preaching and teaching the Bible in a way that leads to transformation , overseeing and directing the ministry staff and caring for the individual needs of people who call Providence Home.

Family:
I married Elisabeth (Yoder) in September 1991. We became good friends at Moody Bible Institute and got engaged shortly thereafter. We have three children: Anna Elise was born in 1995 and went to be with Jesus in 2000 after a four year battle with leukemia. Jacob Richard was born in 2001 and Elsa Anne was born in 2003. I am thankful to have a loving, supportive family that means everything to me.

Education:
University Wisconsin Eau Claire (Business major – did not complete)
Moody Bible Institute (B.A. Pastoral Studies)
Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M. Div. Masters of Divinity)

What has PBC meant to you?
Being part of Providence has been an incredible experience. It started with a Bible study in our home and became an official church in September of 2005. I cherish the relationships that I have built and I am particularly grateful for the people who have given so much to make Providence what it is today. Having said that, I am even more excited about the future and can’t wait to see how God mature us and grow us by His grace alone.

What do you enjoy?
Playing golf with friends, day hikes with my family, reading and discussing books on theology and church mission over a hot cup of coffee, and watching college sports especially the University of Wisconsin Badgers.

What are your Responsibilities?
My main responsibilities are to oversee the Jr. High and High School ministry at PBC. This includes “Elevate”, our Wednesday night gathering, Community groups, discipleship, service opportunities locally and internationally, and fun social nights like dinner and a movie or swim parties.

I also am involved in our young adult gathering. We share food together, hang out, and discuss God’s Word, seeking to encourage one another in their walk with Christ, and serving together.

Education:
Victory Christian School for both Jr. High and High school (Carmichael, CA)
Graduated from Point Loma Nazarene University (San Diego, CA) with a B.A. in Philosophy and Theology.

What has PBC meant to you?
PBC has meant belonging to a family. In my time here I’ve been privileged enough to connect at the heart level with students, parents, and many more people not directly connected to the youth ministry. It is definitely the family feel that sets PBC apart from any other place I’ve been.

What do you enjoy?
Activity of all kinds, but especially basketball and golf, the show LOST, swimming on a hot summer day or night, learning new things about people, just about any kind of food (fastest way to my heart!), and seeing people come to understand what God is calling them to in life.

What has PBC meant to you?

Helping to start a church has been an amazing experience! Watching God work and learning to trust Him in all we do has stretched my faith. We all rely on Him to work through us and He does! I’ve been the Children’s Ministry Coordinator since January 2007 and have enjoyed every minute! I also have made some great friendships here and that is very important to me.

noelle PBCResponsibilities:

Printing bulletins and other church project updates, updating calendars and church website, communicating prayer requests and needs within the PBC family

Family:
Chris and I were married in 2007 and since then decided to call Rocklin and Providence Bible Church our home. While my family is in Monterey and in Southern California, for now our hearts are rooted here in Placer County where we love our “extended family” at PBC.

Education:
Azusa Pacific University BA in Athletic Training, and board certified ATC.
Other certifications: Medical Exercise Specialist, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialists

What has PBC meant to you?
PBC’s shining quality that drew me in was its family like characteristic. There is an honesty and humility about the people of PBC that reflect God’s character in a way that remind me that I can come as I am to Him in any state. While families aren’t perfect, we do pray for one another and then follow up, we worship together and also share in our trials. Since being a part of PBC, I have grown in my awareness of Grace- and how mind blowing it is that Christ gave Himself up for The Church.

What do you enjoy?
Good conversation over a good meal, exercising outdoors, interacting with high-schoolers, playing guitar, coffee, exploring new places.
